    • Empathy and Understanding: Your ability to empathize with varying family situations was impressive. This understanding is crucial as it allows for a more inclusive perspective on family relationships.

    • Open-Mindedness: The willingness shown by everyone to consider the dual nature of family relationships—both encouraging and challenging—demonstrates a mature and balanced approach to understanding this complex topic. For example, the discussions around setting boundaries while maintaining love showed a nuanced understanding of familial interactions.

    Constructive Feedback:
While the discussion was rich and insightful, there are areas where we can further enhance our understanding and engagement:

    • Broaden Perspectives: To deepen our understanding of family dynamics, try to incorporate more diverse perspectives. For instance, you could invite insights from family members of different backgrounds or explore literature and case studies that present various familial structures. This will foster a more comprehensive view of how different relationships function.

    • Practical Application: While theoretical discussions are important, it might be beneficial to focus more on practical applications. Perhaps think about specific strategies for improving family communication or conflict resolution. You could introduce role-playing scenarios or small group discussions where participants can practice these skills in a safe environment.

    • Encouraging Vulnerability: Creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable being vulnerable can significantly enhance our discussions. Consider implementing a ‘check-in’ process at the beginning of each session, where participants can share their thoughts or feelings in a structured manner. This will help everyone feel valued and more willing to share openly.

    Closing Statement:
In conclusion, I am genuinely impressed by the depth and sincerity of today’s discussion surrounding family relationships. Your engagement reflects a strong desire for understanding and growth, which is commendable. n the past couple years schools have added more technologies to classrooms hoping it would help students learn better. This mainly happened because of the pandemic, but now laptops, tablets and smart boards are very common in classrooms. Can technology be useful yes but it also has started up a lot of problems. Many kids get distracted by games, social media and a lot more. Some families can’t afford Internet at home which can make things hard for kids. I think the biggest thing we should focus on is that kids now are not very great at social interaction and communication skills because they’re doing everything online. Bringing technology in the classrooms has done more harm than good. Because it distracts students, makes it more difficult for others and has changed face to face communication. Yes, technology was frowned upon five years ago in school. Technology has been introduced to schools to improve education. It has led to decreasing focus and giving kids poor mental health and a weaker academic performance, proving it may have done more harm than good. In my first article it talks a lot about how people who don't engage in physical activity have a higher chance of being depressed because they're always using their technology and not maybe going outside. This isn't the main part of my topic but I think it's important to know that people who are outside and not just glued to technology have been proven to be happier people. I just think this is a good example that maybe having technology in a classroom isn't for the best and that we should just stick to the basics like books and paper. The main reason we have technology and classrooms now is because of covid-19 and I think if covid-19 didn't happen things would be so much different. Although we didn't have any other choice but to add technology, it really affected our grades. Looking at many studies before technology added test scores were pretty high and now they're not so high but in some places they are but is that because kids are learning better or because they have the internet. I personally believe that adding technology has really ruined things because it took away the social part of learning which was always my favorite. There are a lot of pros to technology in classrooms, and those would be websites that can help with any assignment. You can watch so many videos on how to learn how to do math and today’s day and age. It is more efficient to use this type of technology because we are advancing so fast and this world is very driven by technology so kids learning to use it is important. Students that are using technology have benefits in the classroom and it gives people a chance to learn things in a different way. (HMH, n.d.) Now the cons of using technology are there’s very many distractions like games, news, fun websites, social media, and text messages which tend to take away our attention. A recent study by Common Sense Media found that 72 percent of children age eight or younger have computer access at home, and 98 percent have at least one television (Lynch, 2020). That means almost everyone in the world is using technology so would keeping them out of the classroom actually benefit them? Studies show yes that in person learning has proven to be a better source of learning for kids That shows teachers have to really pay attention to what each student is doing on their computer, which isn’t very easy. Students that are using devices have way less interactions which has parents worried that students won’t be able to communicate when they need to have a real life conversation so I think taking in the fact of how we’re using this tool it really matters. A lot of studies show that kids who are using computers and technology in the classroom often will use them at home and that amount of screen time is pretty detrimental. It’s very important that kids don’t have their phone. They should be outside getting that vitamin D. I think it’s important that kids aren’t living their life behind a screen. devices may lead to distractions or reduce face-to-face communication skills among students. (HMH, n.d.) I think that it's very important that kids are getting the best possible learning experience they can. From personal experience working in class on paper was much better than constantly staring at a computer screen all day. In conclusion, technology in classrooms has caused more harm than good. It distracts students and makes learning unfair for some and takes away social skills. Yes technology can be helpful, but the use of it in classrooms has created some problems. School should focus more on meaningful learning and human connection, not just screens and devices. If we truly care about helping students succeed, we should reduce our dependence on classroom technology. We don't need to completely take it away but lowering that screen time could definitely be a start. REFERENCE PAGE Petty, L. (2025, March 4). Mobile phones in schools Debate: Advantages
