As we immerse ourselves in scripture, let us remember the words of Hebrews 4:12, "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." Let us allow the scripture to penetrate our very being, to transform us from the inside out, and to lead us into a deep and intimate relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ. In conclusion, my beloved congregation, let us embrace the power of scripture. Let us not only read it, but let us meditate on it, let us live it out in our daily lives. For it is through the soul, guided by the scripture, that we can truly reach the heart of God. May our souls be ignited, may our hearts be filled with fervor, and may the scripture be our guiding light as we walk in the footsteps of King David, towards the heart of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
