  • You want an AI agent, not a helpdesk, and you’d rather pay a flat monthly price than $0.99 for every resolution.
  • You want to choose the AI model yourself, from 46 models from 9 AI labs.
  • You want phone calls answered on your own Twilio number without a sales process.

Stay with Intercom if

  • Your team works in a shared inbox: Intercom is a full helpdesk with ticketing, a help center and reports, and Fin hands off to it.
  • You already run Zendesk, Salesforce, HubSpot or Freshdesk and want an AI agent inside it.
  • You need enterprise features such as HIPAA support, SLAs and multibrand.

What’s actually different. The four that matter most.

01

A flat plan instead of $0.99 a resolution

Intercom charges $0.99 for each Fin outcome, such as a resolved conversation, on top of $29 to $132 per helpdesk seat. A month with 1,000 resolutions adds $990 before seats. Our plans are a flat monthly price with no message cap.[2][1]

02

You choose the AI model

Fin runs on models Intercom chooses, now its own Apex models. In Easy-Peasy.AI you pick from 46 models from 9 AI labs, including GPT, Claude and Gemini, and switch any time without retraining.[3]

03

No helpdesk to move into

Fin works best inside Intercom’s helpdesk; using it with another helpdesk goes through Intercom’s sales team, with a 50-outcome monthly minimum. Easy-Peasy.AI is the agent on its own: build it from your website and add it to your site with one line of code.[2][16]

04

Phone calls on any paid plan

Fin Voice is available to select customers through Intercom’s sales team, with custom pricing. Our agents answer calls on your own Twilio number on any paid plan, and website visitors can talk to them in the chat from Unlimited 200.[2][12]

In fairness

When Intercom is the better choice.

We’d rather you pick the right tool than switch and regret it. Intercom is the stronger choice if:

  • 1

Your team answers conversations too. Intercom is a full helpdesk, with a shared inbox, ticketing, a help center, reports and SLAs, and Fin hands off to people there.[4][15]

  • 2

You already run Zendesk, Salesforce, HubSpot or Freshdesk and want an AI agent inside it.[13]

  • 3

You need enterprise compliance, such as HIPAA support on Expert, ISO 27001, or data hosted in the EU or Australia.[17][4]

  • 4

You run a contact center and want voice that plugs into your existing phone system.[12]

Switching from Intercom. Four steps, no code.

Fin learns from your help center and website, and so does our agent. Moving the AI part takes an afternoon:

  1. 1

Build the agent from your help center

Enter your help center or website address when you create the agent. It reads up to 100 pages, writes its own instructions and matches your brand colors.

    How it works
  2. 2

    Add your snippets and files

Paste Fin’s snippets as text or Q&A pairs, upload PDFs, or sync documents from Google Drive or OneDrive.

    How it works
  3. 3

    Turn procedures into actions

Call your own API with a Custom Action, book meetings with Google Calendar and collect details for your team, then test it all in the Playground.

    How it works
  4. 4

Add the chat and connect channels

Put our one-line snippet on your site in place of the Messenger, then connect WhatsApp, email or a phone number.

    How it works

Questions, answered.

Still wondering about something? Ask the agent on this page. We built it with the same tools you get.

  • Is Easy-Peasy.AI an alternative to Intercom?

To Fin, the AI agent, yes. Easy-Peasy.AI answers your customers from your website and files on your site, WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, LINE, Slack, email and the phone. It is not a helpdesk: there is no shared inbox, ticketing or help center, so a team that answers conversations itself is better served by Intercom.

  • How much does Intercom Fin cost?

As of October 2026, Fin costs $0.99 per outcome, such as a resolution. On Intercom you also pay for helpdesk seats: $29, $85 or $132 per seat a month billed yearly ($39, $99 or $139 monthly). With another helpdesk, Fin has a minimum of 50 outcomes a month.

  • What counts as a Fin resolution?

Intercom counts one when the customer confirms Fin’s answer helped, or leaves without asking for more help after Fin’s last answer. If the conversation reopens, the charge is removed.

  • Which AI model does Fin use?

Intercom’s own Apex models, chosen by Intercom. In Easy-Peasy.AI you choose the model for each agent from 46 models from 9 AI labs, and can change it any time without retraining.

  • Can my team still answer some conversations?

Not inside Easy-Peasy.AI: there is no live chat inbox. The agent can collect a visitor’s details or email your team when someone needs a person, and every conversation is there for you to read and correct.

  • Is there a free plan?

Easy-Peasy.AI has one: 1 agent and 100 messages every 30 days, no card needed. Intercom has no free plan but offers a 14-day trial.
