How to Add the Chat Widget to Squarespace (Step-by-Step)
Step 1: Create and train your AI agent

Step 2: Copy your embed code
Open your bot and click Embedding in the sidebar. Customize the widget — position, button size, brand color, icon — and copy the script snippet. It’s a single <script> tag.
Step 3: Open Code Injection in Squarespace
In your Squarespace dashboard, go to Settings → Developer tools → Code Injection (on newer dashboards it lives under Website Tools — searching “code injection” in the settings search finds it instantly).

A Note About Squarespace Plans
Squarespace allows JavaScript and iframes only on the Core, Plus, and Advanced plans (plus legacy Business and Commerce plans). On the entry-level plan, both Code Injection and scripts in Code Blocks are unavailable — so if you don’t see the option, that’s the reason. Code Injection also doesn’t run on checkout pages, which is fine: your chat belongs on the pages where visitors are still deciding.
