Manage your chats

All your Marky conversations are in the sidebar under Your Chats, with favorites first and then the newest. A small spinner next to a chat means Marky is still working on it. To collapse the sidebar, click the panel icon at the top. Back to Home returns to the dashboard.

Find a chat

Type in Search… in the sidebar. It searches chat titles and the text of your messages. Your Marky chats also appear in History > Text on the dashboard, where Open Chat takes you back to one.

Organize chats

Hover over a chat and click ⋯ for these options: To make a folder, click the folder icon next to Your Chats and type a name. You can also drag chats onto a folder. Deleting a folder moves its chats to Uncategorized; the chats aren’t deleted.

Share a chat

1. Click the share icon at the top of the chat, or Share in the chat’s ⋯ menu.
2. Turn on Share Publicly.
3. Copy the link, or share it straight to LinkedIn, Facebook, X, or Reddit.

Anyone with the link can read the conversation, but can’t continue it. Turn Share Publicly off to take the link down. On Teams plans, Share with Team Members makes the chat visible to your team instead of the public.

Copy a conversation

To try a different direction without losing the original, open the ⋯ menu under one of Marky’s replies and click Fork chat. You get a new chat with everything up to that reply, named after the original with “(forked)”.

Delete a chat

Deleting a chat is permanent and can’t be undone. It also removes everything Marky made in that chat:

• The chat’s messages and the files on Marky’s computer.
• Any website or app built in the chat, including the published site, its database, and its settings.
• Scheduled tasks that post to the chat.

Slides and files you downloaded stay on your computer. Images and videos Marky made stay in History.
